2020 O’Reilly Auto Parts World Of Wheels Birmingham, AL Highlights

The 2020 O’Reilly Autoparts World of Wheels took place from February 7-9 in Birmingham, AL. This was the 49th annual event. The Birmingham World of Wheels is always held at the BJCC facility. The organizers lined up a roster of celebrity guests and unique vehicles that did not disappoint.

The white Porsche Cayman S was one of the main features. This car was in the 2009 Fast and Furious 4 movie. The owner was gracious enough to let spectators in the display to get pictures with this celebrity car.

This sweet custom hot rod is known as the “Gold Digger”. It is a 1933 Ford Phaeton owned by Tammy Ray of Dahlonega, GA.

This beauty is a 1965 Shelby Daytona Couple Coupe. It has a custom-built 427ci crate engine that produces 550 HP and 500+ ft_lbs of torque. The dash has been autographed by the legendary Carroll Shelby.

This wicked rock crawler is owned by Mike George of Talladega, AL,

This 1969 Mustang is known as the Boss 600. It has a 600 cubic inch engine that makes a whopping 1023 horsepower. Randy Powe of Hanceville, AL is the owner of this awesome car.

One of our favorite displays was the one by Classic Car Motoring. Their display was definitely on the extreme side. They had several exotic cars, a helicopter, and a couple of donated vehicles from the Barber Motorsports Park Museum.

This flawless 1964 Custom Chevy El Camino is owned by Rusty Wilson of The Woodlands, TX. Under the hood is a 350 engine that makes 572 hp and 490 ft_lbs of torque. You have to see this car in person to really appreciate the paint job.

This 1964 Chevy II Nova has all the right stuff.

The Birmingham Mopar Owners Club had some incredible late model and classic Mopars on display.

This is a 1968 Datsun 2000 Fairlady. It has a 2.0L engine that makes 135 hp and 138 ft_lbs of torque. There were 11,800 Datsun Fairlady cars imported to America from 1968 to 1970. This roadster only weighs around 2,350 lbs. Paul Burton is the owner of this unique car.

This beautiful custom European classic is a 1961 Rolls Royce Cloud II. Brian Gantley of Keithville, LA are the owners of this masterpiece.

This 1956 Chevy Stepside truck has an incredible stance. It has a 350 engine and a 700R4 transmission. The suspension has been modified with a rear 4 link set up. Shane and Jessica Lile of Louisville, KY are the proud owners of this sweet ride.

This 1970 Chevy C-10 is not your average LS swap resto-mod. It is powered by a heavily built turbocharged Duramax diesel. Chad Whitlock of Leeds, AL is the owner of this extraordinary build.

Impatient Creations is a custom shop in Alabaster, AL. They had these sweet iconic muscle cars wrapped in the American flag.

This is a custom 1957 Pontiac Starcheif that has been made into a 4X4. It has a 327ci engine and a turbo 350 transmission.

This classic VW Super Beetle has all kinds of cool upgrades. The owner added power locks, power windows, early Porsche 911 gauges, Porsche 911 wheels, disc brakes, and a combination of leather/suede interior, etc.

The Mid Alabama Corvette Club hosted a premiere showcase of Vettes from all generations. If you are a Corvette enthusiast you would have spent a lot of time in this area as I did.

This is a one of a kind 2017 Z06 Commemorative Edition Corvette. In 2004 Chevrolet made a Commemorative Edition Z06 in honor of recent historic Le Mans wins by the Corvette. The 2004 Commemorative Edtion came in Le Mans blue and featured the same silver and red stripes like this car has. I was very impressed with this car because I actually own a 2004 Commemorative Edition Z06 myself.

This 2015 Z06 3LZ Corvette is loaded with a ton of cool custom and personalized features. Willie and Brenda Pollock of Hoover, AL are the owners of this awesome Z06.

This stunning C2 Vette is actually a brand new car. B Rod and Custom offer a C2 replacement 1963 to 1967 body. Their cars are compatible with all original C2 parts. You can order one of these in a convertible, coupe, and a widebody version.
