The eCOPO Camaro Concept turned heads at an NHRA event in the recent past. Its Powered by an electric Borg Warner twin-motor pack that’s compatible with most LS series transmissions. The car has four batteries that sit on the rear for guaranteed off the line traction. The electric powerplant makes 700hp with 600 feet pounds of torque. It’s an 800-volt system and the batteries weigh 175 pounds each.
Prepared by Hancock and Lane Racing, it was able to bring the front wheels off the ground. There’s no word that an eCOPO will hit dealerships. There are rumors of a possible electric engine swap for the market place in the future.
The eCOPO Camaro Concept ran an impressive 1/4 mile time of 9.837 seconds @137.07mph!
