Car Shows

Magic City Octane 9/14/19

Magic City Octane is one of the best monthly car meets in all of Alabama. The event features extreme vehicles that you would not normally see at other shows. Magic City Octane takes place every 2nd Saturday morning at the Brookwood Village Mall in Birmingham, AL. The popularity of this event has grown to the point that many are traveling from out of town to join in on the action. Even though we arrived towards the end of this particular event, it was still packed with first-class vehicles and fun.

Magic City Octane is teaming up with local car clubs and businesses to bring together car enthusiasts of all ages and makes. Our goal is to better unite the fractured car community within the Greater Birmingham area.

Calling this RX-7 “EXTREME” is for lack of a better word. It is powered by an insane four-rotor engine that makes over 900 horsepower according to the video below.

The 1972 Stingray Corvette was the last production year to have front and rear chrome bumpers. This beauty has a 350 engine and an automatic transmission.

This is the Classic Car Motoring “Toy Box”. The shop uses it to transport client’s vehicles of all types. Matter of fact, this rig recently transported a new Ford GT. You can easily say that the Ford GT was precious cargo because it cost over $450,000 brand new.

Pictures do not do this yellow McLaren justice. This is the kind of supercar that has to be appreciated in person.

The C7 Corvette ZR1 has a 6.2L LT5 engine that makes 755 hp and 715 ft-lbs of torque. The ZR1 does 0-60 mph in under 3 seconds with a 212 mph top speed.

This 1993 RX-7 has an LS1 engine from a WS6 Trans-Am. The owner mentioned that he plans on keeping the exterior of the car in stock form.

You do not need wings to fly when you have a Dodge Viper and a Red Bull theme.
