One Bad Benz

630HP Naturally Apsirated

Josh Baggett of Classic Car Motoring is the owner of this “Bad Benz” This is a 2010 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series. The C63 AMG Black Series has very low production numbers and are only built in the coupe version. Classic Car Motoring is the only certified Mercedes-Benz collision repair facility in the state of Alabama. Classic Car Motoring is also the only business of its kind to build a (1 of 1) C63 AMG Black Series sedan. This car was chosen for the build because it features one of the larger V8s prior to today’s 4.0L bi-turbo platform. Josh’s car is one of the most unique and fastest vehicles that we have ever featured!

Josh has updated his AMG with a cool looking Black Series hood, headlights, tail lights, quarter panels, bumpers, and fenders etc. The front has an awesome combination of state of the art lighting. Even though the car has 6.3L emblems, it actually has a 6.2L under the hood. Mercedes-Benz used the 6.3L badges to commemorate the legendary M100 V8 engine that was introduced in the early 1960’s.

Josh’s C63 AMG looks just as amazing outdoors as it does indoors. The color of the car is called Magno Cashmere White. The unique color is complemented with various OEM carbon fiber while the hood vents and rear spoiler are from Mode Carbon. The combination of the Lumar Ceramic Window tint along with the Jet Black and Red trim only add to the cars overall sleek look. The widebody styling blends well with the wheels to create the perfect street stance!

The car has ADV.1 ADV10 track spec wheels with 19″x10″s on the front and 19″x13″s on the rear. The wheels are fitted with a set of Michelin Pilot Cup tires with 265/35r19s’ on the front and 345/30r19s’ on the rear.

The engine bay is just as immaculate as the rest of the car. The drivetrain features a 7-speed AMG automatic transmission. In stock form, the 6.2L DOHC engine is rated at 451hp @6800rpm and 443ft_lbs of torque @5000rpm. If this car was all original it would run the 1/4 mile in the high 12-second range with an impressive top speed of 174mph. The current tune on Josh’s car completely destroys all the factory performance numbers!

The custom interior flows well with the overall color theme of the car. The handcrafted leather seats are so comfortable it feels like your sitting on a cloud. The red stitched floor mats and seat belts give the interior that sports car look. Josh, loaded the interior with all sorts of carbon fiber goodies that include the steering wheel, seat backs, shifter, and trim. A custom K 40 Electronics radar detector and laser jammer system has been mounted inside the dash. The car has a toggle switch that allows the driver to select from mild to wild driving conditions.

All of the emblems have been upgraded with the Black Series hardware. The original exterior trim has been painted to match all the new badging.

Josh’s Benz is building quite the reputation in the automotive world. It was on display at the 2017 SEMA Show and won awards in the 2018 World of Wheels in Birmingham, AL.
