The King’s 1971 280 SEL Mercedes-Benz Has Left The Building

Elvis Presley was known for owning numerous cars over his lifetime. He owned this 1971 Mercedes-Benz that was recently sold by Daniel Schmitt & Co. Classic Car Gallery. The listing price recently came down from $199,00 to 139,900. The car is not factory original and does not have low mileage.  Despite the two impactful factors mentioned, The King’s Benz still brought in the big money.

When Elvis originally purchased the car it was red, then he had it painted to the current color. The car was on display at the Smoky Mountain Car Museum for many years. Even though the Mercedes has over 80,000 odometer miles, it still looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor!
