1997 C5 Corvette

In 1997 the C5 Corvette was introduced. The C5 body style was an extreme change from the previous generation. The 1997 model was the first year for the all aluminum 5.7 LS1 engine. The base model C5 had 345hp and ran the ¼ mile in 13.3 seconds. A new 1997 Corvette would have cost you around $40,000.


1999 Ford SVT Lightning

In 1999 the SVT Lightning changed the performance truck game. It has a 32V 5.4L supercharged engine that makes 360hp. It came with 18” alloy SVT wheels. The truck does 0-60mph in 5.3 seconds. This generation Lightning later became the Guinness Book of World Records fastest production truck during that time. You would have paid around $33,000 in 1999 to own one.

1997 30th Anniversary SS Camaro

The 1997 30th Anniversary SS Camaro is one of the most desired Camaros from the 1990’s. The car is known for it’s functional SLP ram air hood, white paint with hugger orange stripes, and the LT4 engine. It runs a low 13 in the 1/4mile and gets to 60mph under 5 seconds. The sales price for this car new was around $40,000.

1993 Mustang Cobra

The 1993 Cobra was the first year of Ford’s SVT performance line. This car was also the last year of the foxbody. The 5.0L engine came with 235hp and 280 ft_lbs of torque. What made this car so special is that the engine is one of the best tuning platforms from the 1990’s. A new cobra in 1993 would have cost around $20,000.

1997 Dodge Viper GTS

The 1997 Dodge Viper GTS is arguably one of the most iconic performance cars of the entire 1990’s. It has an 8.0L V10 that makes 450hp and 488ft_lbs of torque. The GTS ran the ¼ mile in 12.8 seconds with a 0-60mph of 4.2 seconds. The Viper GTS has a 185mph top speed. A car like this would have cost you around $67,000 in 1997.
